What is Kingdom Of Marionettes?
Kingdom Of Marionettes is a dark yandere horror visual-novel demo
set inside an abandoned puppet theater. You arrive for an ordinary
security shift, but the stage has its own rules once the lights fade.
Puppets move, props become suspicious, and the playful jester at the
center of the story is never as harmless as he first appears.
The setting gives the experience its identity. Curtains, empty seats,
painted scenery, and backstage rooms all feel like parts of one
living performance. Instead of relying on a generic haunted house,
the game turns theatrical space into a source of pressure.

Current Demo Snapshot
The public project is presented as an evolving demo rather than a
finished full-length release. The current feature snapshot centers on
an Act 1 playable slice, one main love-interest route, an animated CG,
original artwork, meaningful choices, pronoun selection, and a small
surprise involving a pet.

How to Play the Kingdom Of Marionettes Game
- 1Click Play Now to start loading the hosted demo only when you are ready.
- 2Read dialogue carefully and note details that feel unusually specific or repeated.
- 3Inspect the theater instead of rushing through every prompt; atmosphere often signals what matters.
- 4Keep track of choices between attempts so you can test a different route without guessing.

Quick tip: A choice that looks playful can still carry story weight. When a scene feels too easy, slow down and inspect the wording.
How a run is built
Game Mechanics Explained
Kingdom Of Marionettes is not driven by reflex combat. Its tension
comes from four systems working together: conversation, exploration,
night-shift duties, and the balance between emotional closeness and
personal safety.
Dialogue Choice System Emotional replies can strengthen Trust while also giving a dangerous character more influence. Practical replies may lower immediate risk but create distance.
Scene Exploration Inspect rooms, strings, gears, notes, logbooks, and locked details. Clues can explain the theater's history and open route-relevant context.
Night Shift Tasks Cleaning, checking the theater, and keeping track of puppets create a routine that emergencies can interrupt when the atmosphere turns hostile.
Survival & Emotion Balance Endings reflect the accumulated shape of your run. Keep a route log when you want to compare a trusting, cautious, or defiant playthrough.
A route at a glance
Act 1 & Act 2 Branching Endings Map
Treat the story as a branching theater production rather than a
single straight corridor. Act 1 establishes the job, the building,
and the relationships that shape later scenes. Act 2 then turns those
foundations into route pressure: a familiar room can feel different,
and a friendly exchange can expose a new branch.
The most useful way to read the route structure is as two competing
signals: Trust measures how much the cast believes
you belong in their performance, while Danger tracks
how unstable and threatening the theater has become. The game may not
show both values as a permanent on-screen meter, so use your choices
and the characters' reactions as practical clues.
| Choice moment | Safer direction | What to watch |
| Farmer's problem | Offer a concrete solution | Helpful decisions generally support Trust. |
| Border-land request | Protect the villagers' position | Agreeing too quickly can make the court feel less stable. |
| Jestyn's criticism | Answer playfully when appropriate | His response reveals how he reads your attitude. |
| Chili chocolate scene | Decline if you want the cautious branch | Some “treats” are tests rather than rewards. |
- 🟢Good route — 3+ points: help the citizens and engage with Jestyn's banter to keep Trust healthy. A higher score can open an extra collar-focused scene.
- 🔴Bad route — 2 points or fewer: disappoint Jestyn, give away the border land, or fail to engage with the theater's script.
- 🟣Secret route: inspect the King's room and follow the hidden-name trigger below.
- 🗺️Act 2 — 15+ variations: exploration, clues, and character trust can point toward coexistence, escape, truth, or tragedy.
The four broad Act 2 directions are practical goals for replaying:
coexistence needs high Trust with manageable Danger; escape rewards
backroom exploration and finding Luna; truth depends on Victor's trust,
hidden notes, and clues about His Majesty; tragedy becomes more likely
when Danger reaches its late-night limits.
Hidden outcomes
Secret Endings Guide
Secret endings usually reward curiosity rather than speed. During the
first theater walkthrough, inspect the empty King's puppet room and
read the inscription on the door. The old ruler's hidden name is
reported as crownus or cronus
depending on the build or transcription.
When Jestyn later asks for your name, enter the name you recorded
directly into the prompt. This bypasses the usual affection route and
can open the hidden Crownus-style path, where the protagonist is
pushed into a royal or “Queen” role and must respond to a crisis
involving the theater's puppet villagers.
Important: Treat this as a route clue, not a promise
that every version uses identical labels. If the prompt differs,
replay the King's room inspection and check the inscription again.

The Freak Circus.
Character path
Jestyn Route Walkthrough
Jestyn's route works best when you pay attention to the difference
between charm and control. Friendly banter can lower your guard, but
the route also uses timing, personal details, and sudden shifts in
tone to show what the jester wants from the performance.
- 1Start with the King's room: inspect it once before committing to a route.
- 2Visit Wizzy: inspect the corner three times, then ask about his relationship with the other puppets and the King.
- 3Visit Knighter: inspect the table three times, ask the relationship and King questions, then leave the room.
- 4Return to the Crownus sequence: when Jestyn becomes tense, choose the response that convinces him not to follow you if you want a calmer route.
- 5Talk to Butley or the maids: ask about their relationships and their view of the King to widen your clue set.
Act 2 expands the cast with figures such as Maidy, Maidra, Maidelyn,
Farmin, Knighter, and Wizzy. Keep a simple route log
with three columns—scene, choice, reaction—so you can compare
compliant, defiant, and romance-heavy runs without relying on memory.
For a compliant run, prioritize helpful answers and keep Jestyn's
reactions calm. For a defiant run, test boundaries while tracking when
Danger rises. For a romance-heavy run, playful responses may build
Trust faster, but they can also give Jestyn more leverage over later
scenes.
- 🎪Read his lines twice when a joke contains a direct question.
- 🎪Notice whether a response gives you information or only gives him more control.
- 🎪Try a calm answer on one run and a more confrontational answer on another.
- 🎪Save unusual scene transitions in your route notes for later comparison.

Characters & Route Cast
The theater becomes easier to understand when you treat each puppet as
a source of context, not only as a route checkpoint. Their reactions
can reveal relationships, rivalries, and clues about the old order.
JestynThe central jester route: charming, intrusive, and sensitive to how you respond.
WizzyThe wizard puppet is useful for questions about the other puppets and the King.
KnighterThe knight's room and dialogue add another perspective on the theater's relationships.
Maidy, Maidra & MaidelynThe maids broaden the social world and can add context to the court around the King.
FarminA villager whose drought or land problem turns route choices into moral decisions.
Victor & LunaNames connected with truth-seeking and escape-oriented exploration in the route guide.
Crownus / His MajestyThe hidden history behind the King's room and the secret-name trigger.

Why Play This Kingdom Of Marionettes?
